Julie Do
Julie Do’s motivation to join the healthcare field stems from a deeply personal place – her desire to assist a family member facing disabilities.
Coming from a background in retail, where she found joy in helping people, Do recognised the opportunity to make a positive impact on vulnerable individuals.
“The primary motivation behind my pursuit of a healthcare career was to provide support to my disabled brother-in-law.
“I have a genuine passion for influencing positive change in the lives of others, and I wanted to contribute meaningfully to the community while ensuring the wellbeing of my family.”
Recommended by friends who had positive learning experiences and successful careers after studying with NZTC, she found the choice to enrol with the college to be an easy one.
“NZTC came highly recommended, and the college’s support system is meticulously designed, encompassing everything from comprehensive course resources to IT assistance and pastoral support.”
Balancing a daytime admin role and tending to a toddler, Do found studying via NZTC Online perfect for her needs.
“The course material is very informative with tutorial videos to help you understand the topic in context. I also found a lot of answers through the group chat and class discussion forums.”
Eager to advance her skills, she is set to begin Level 4 studies with the aim of further upskilling.
“It’s truly an honour to be a part of the NZTC family, and I’ve already learnt so much to support my healthcare career.
“My ultimate goal is to become a registered nurse to help those in need and make a positive change in people’s lives. By completing my healthcare studies with NZTC, I’m closer to my dream job.”
