A leading international voice on play in early childhood, Professor Kathy Hirsh-Pasek will visit New Zealand for the first time to share her expertise at the 2019 NZTC Symposium – The Power of Play.
Kathy has dedicated her career to early childhood development research with a focus on learning and play. Currently living in America, the psychology professor actively works in partnership with Sesame Street, Lego and Disney Junior.
NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox said the college is honoured to welcome Kathy as the international keynote speaker at the symposium, which will be held on Friday 8 March at the college’s Auckland campus.
“Kathy joins us at NZTC as an international expert focused on the vital role of play in early childhood development. Our children rely on us to champion play in all its rich variety as it is imperative for young children’s learning,” Fox said.
The professional development day features plenaries, practical workshops and a panel discussion, which will be of interest to all educators and carers of young children.
